Jangan Pandang Belakang..

Seumur hidupku...never in my life i scared the sheet out of myself watching a malay movie. Jangan Pandang Belakang is a must see movie lah..not saying it is a super scary movie ...but seram enough to make me hide behind my handbags plus tengok citer tuh in between my fingers..tutup2 muka gak la.. Went to see with Ita, Fidah and Yayin after bowling with them at Flamingo. Yayin tok sah citer..dia nyorok dalam jacket..i was worried at first that Yayin will have a night mare tonite..siap suruh Yayin baca Al-Fatihah lagi banyak2..takut dia terperanjat. Seriously..saper x kuat semangat ada yg terbayang2 after watching the movie.

The story line was simple..you should see it yourself to enjoy the "seram" part. Anyway, it is not the movie i wanted to share the experience with my readers. It is about the scenario in the cinema itself - how the audience reacted towards the movies and their expression- ada yg mengurut2 dada sendiri sebab terperanjat, terangkat2 kaki, and even when the was this part when the hero's car broke down in a middle of nowhere at nite..someone in the cinema said.."laaa time ni lak tayar dia nak meletup.." , the whole cinema broke into laughter..it was in everyone's mind to say the same thing . Through out the movie..the spectator reacted and sometimes even laugh at themselves after the scary parts..(including me..terasa bodoh jugak rasa takut sebab itukan only a movie haha). Btw..if you really want to test whether your spouse or your partner is a scitty cat..this is the movie that you should bring him/her to see this movie. Like the couple sitting next to me..the bf failed the test when he himself tutup muka dia masa part seram ..hahah

But all said and done. I think Jangan Pandang Belakang is a good movie. The director was able to make the audience feel as if they are part of the movie. When it comes to movies..I'm very particular..especially on Malay movies..no good reviews..i wont watch it in Cinema- so i'll give this movie two thumbs up (ikut standard Malaysia laa..cannot compare with hollywood) twenty times better than Cicak man (harapkan CGI ger lebih..jalan citer 10 minutes is enough to make u doze off to sleep - no originality when u try to copy and paste a lot of super heroes stories into a story of its own (spiderman + batman etc)). Anyway i'm looking forward to watch Sumolah by Afdlin Shauki. Seen all his movies..original and entertaining. Suhaimi Baba is also a good director - seen a number of her movies - brilliant works.

Oklah..i got to finish up writing an article for my office. I've violated the writing rules yesterday..points first then only the article. The problem with me is, i intend to try and tell so many things in one page ..haha..sendat article aku - obese. Alrite..tata
