It has been a while since I last attended any concerts or hang out listening to live music. Maybe because of AF2 kot. Never missed watching the Saturday night AF2 concerts from home. But I had the opportunity to watch Dayang performing live at Planet Hollywood KL-two weeks back-promoting her soon-to-be-released album.The show started at 3 pm and ended about 5pm. Quite a big crowd turned out to support her. Very little hope to get any seats. So instead I searched for a strategic view of the small stage. I finally found a strategic spot, squeezing myself in between the crowd. Sesak gak rasa but for Dayang...I sanggup..hehehhe.
Dayang sang a few songs from her new album. In between her songs, she expressed her heartful gratitude to her friends,fans and composers for their endless support. VE, Ruffedge, Anuar Zain,Afdlin Shauki and a few other celebraties were also there to give their support. Yg sedapnya Dayang had to stop singing skejap when Anuar Zain sampai, the girls were screaming when their lungs out when they saw him! Hilang limelight Dayang skejap until she had to say shhhhhhhh..so that she can continue singing..hehehhe. Well I was hoping that Anuar will duet with Dayang that evening. But instead she sang a new song together with Lah VE (composed by Lah VE jugak). Dayang sang her new song 'Dayang Cinta Kamu' with Cat Ruffedge. Cool...One thing I noticed is that Cat Ruffedge looked muchhhh younger in live. Maybe dia baru shave kot.
It was a mesmerising show. Lama tak dengar local singer yg ada suara serak2 basah cam dia. Just love her voice and her songs. Dayang has a rare talent in Malaysian music industry.She has the potential to go far. Can't wait for her new album!
