There & Back Again By Frodo Baggins

Panasssnyaaaaaaaa today!! No idea where to have lunch today. It was already 12:30 pm when my meeting ended. The guys left for Friday prayers. So I'm all alone today for lunch. Most of the food around here usually have been taken up by then.
Took my handbag and left the office without knowing where to go. Luckily there was a cab nearby, took the cab and ask him to go Hong Leong Bank at Telawi. Alang2 dah naik cab tu terus je gi sana.

Went to HL Bank and found out they are out of T-shirts. The lady at the counter took pity on me (maybe I looked a bit dissapointed) and said that she can call another nearby branch to ask whether they still have anymore t-shirts left. I was asked to sit first. Baik betul. Unfortunately the branch also out of stock. She even called a few other branches including the HQ to enquire about the t-shirts. Tough luck. None of them have in stock. While she was making the calls, I overheard one male staff (looked like a senior person there) asked another staff what I wanted. The staff whispered ..charity run.The senior angguk2 kepala jer. Maybe he thought I wanted something else coz I've waited quite a while jugak.

In the end, the lady at the counter said she will try to hunt down the T-shirts for me. Took my number and name. Very sweet of her to take the trouble. That's what I call customer service- going extra mile to help their customers.

Came out of HL Bank with a little bit disappointed feeling. It was blazing hot..1:00 pm what do u expect? Terus masuk Coffee Bean next door. Tak jadik nak scout around for other places to eat.Anyway I was already very hungry...can eat a horse! Ordered my fav. panini chicken sandwich and my vanila latte. Mulut gatal jer nak tanya whether the chicken tu halal tak..not because of was-was but just because I read about the announcement by IKEA in the newspaper today (IKEA's cafes (both upstairs and downstairs) will be closed down temporarily for 'samak' activities (the sausage issue)...hehehe...tapi yg ambik order tu a Malay boy, so I don't think I want to carik pasal..nanti kena baling ngan slipar baru tau.

Had lunch and decided to get a cab to office straight. Malas nak singgah mana2 coz it's too hot. Jeling jer at Bangsar Village - was just nearby..bestnya..not to shop..but nak air cond jer. But the sooner I get a cab, the better. Walked along the shops to get to the taxi stand..cannot stand the heat..had to take off my jacket..dah lah 'handsome' today- coat and all..so I was pretty cooked inside the jacket. Kena ngurat ngan India bawak lori on the way to the taxi stand. Ada yang nak kena baling ngan kasut jugak ni...but there is so many insane people around now, so better keep quiet and ignore him.

Waited for about 10 minutes before I finally got a taxi, got a friendly and bubbly cab driver this time. An elderly chinese-man that can speaks proficient English. He commented about the wheather today..how hot it is 40 degree celcius (patutler..), F1 at Sepang and other stuff. I angguk2 jer. Dia citer about how young people like me spend their weekend - enjoying themselves to relieve work stress. I smiled jer.

Finally, I'm back to the office. Back into the freezing cold office- now kena put on jacket balik. I've got one unfinished business. Monday kena go hunting for the HL Bank T-shirts - susah betul nak buat charity yekk..
Till then..next week update about the wedding.
