Had breakfast with Mom this morning.

Out of the blue Mom said, “I think finally understand his (he who shall not be mentioned in my blog) character. “
Me and my selamba badak face asked her…”hmm what do you think he is like?” .

Mom’s answer: “Just like YOU”

Me: …Tercekik aku. Ayakk…”Mom, Degil like me ker? “…

Mom: “No lah, he is just like u..not easy to read ur character. On the surface Lin nih serius memanjang,no nonsense and firm. So it is hard sometimes people want to react in front of u. Nak buat serious ker, nak buat lawak ker, org confuse. Kekadang people can assume that u looked unfriendly”

Me: “I’m like that ker? Never thought of it.Coz I’m sometimes full of nonsense gak. Right? But I agree that it is hard to read my character, Lin suka observe org tu dulu…hehehe. Kekadang tu lebih kepada menyakat…sajer2 buat org tu cuwak…hihik”

Mom: “ U are actually a warm and friendly person…it takes time for some people actually to know u. Once they get to know u, u are not what they assumed u to be. So I think, that applies to him as well. Both of u are okay once people start to know u better.”

Me: “ So, in short…to know me is to love me? ” (me and my devilish grin;-) )

Mom: “Once they got to know u and him better, yes they would start to see ur true colors. So give them the chance and time to do so.”

Breakfast ended. Mom’s words made me think deeper. I realized, for the past few weeks I’ve had interesting conversations about me with a few more mature people than I am.
