There are days in the year that you woke up at the wrong side of the bed (although my bed has only two exit, hujung katil or on the right- if pusing kiri terantuk dinding). Anyway, yesterday was one of the days. Woke up at 6 am with a running nose.Great..what a way to start your week.
Then, caught in a horrible traffic jam at Bangsar. Arrived at the office right before 8:45 am and I couldn’t find the office key. Scrambling through my ninja turtle bag (computer bag) in front of my office’s door (don’t ask where are the rest of my officemate..none of them had arrived yet). Sampai kena tegur by org2 office sebelah – carik apa tu?? Gave them my Cheshire cat smile ..carik kunci office…geee I really need to clean up my bag..macam2 ada..kunci jer tak de. Finally gave up and called Pak Cik driver office to borrow his keys.
Then, found out that my office mate is not well, she’ll be taking a break for a week. Pity her..pity me..no office girl friend. It will be me vs the guys for the rest of the week nampaknya.
Spent the rest of the morning finalizing and printing out report for submission to client in the afternoon. Had breakfast while doing work and a pretty quick lunch out side.
Managed to complete the report in time for submission..yezzer..then attended a discussion till 5 pm. Just enough time to pray and head for the gym!
Weather was just fine until I arrived at LRT KLCC when it started to rain! Ayakkk…I was looking forward to walk in the park! Suddenly, my stomach started growling..hunger pang got me. Everything looked delicious suddenly, from the Burger King advert at the LRT station to the Roti Boy, Nandos, Deli France, Strudles…mengigillll perut tengok makanan – kept telling myself that I can have any meal that I wanted after exercise. Weird, coz I had sandwich for breakfast and rice for lunch..should be enough to sustain the whole day. Baru pukul 6pm perut dah meragam.
Tanduk tak mau pi gym dah keluar at first..muhahahah, tempted already to skip exercise, detour to the bank first..while trying to create 1001 excuses for myself not to go to the gym ..but God is Great, I bumped into my Co. Director & wife near the bank…kena sergah...Where are u going?? GYM…that was the first word came out of my mouth..hehehe.
So, what to do? Practice what u preach– honor your words (my good conscience told me)…okayy..okayy..I headed to gym. Spent 30 minutes walking and running (3km altogether) on the treadmill while enjoying the KLCC park view (the rain stopped!..ceh!). Had I headed to the gym straight, I might have the time to go for one round in the park.
I felt muchhhh better after my exercise physically & mentally ..hilang kelaparan yg tak terhingga..must be the ngada2 part of me only kot tadi;-) finding excuses not to exercise. What a waste if I have skipped my workout!
Moral of the story: Jangan malas gi exercise..going to the gym itself is already a battle of its own! Getting up on the wrong side of bed doesn’t mean that you’ll have miserable events for the whole day! Cheer up..!!
P/s Dah jumpa kunci office..in my gym bag kat dalam my gym locker! Baru ingat pagi nih! Lesson learnt..jgn makan asam byk sangat..pelupa till kunci office pun tak tau kat mana.
